About Sperm Donation Services

As a foreigner, can I receive sperm donation in Japan?

Yes, you can. At Samurai Donor, we have provided sperm to over 40 foreign women living in Japan, resulting in the birth of over 20 children.

When can I receive sperm donation?

We can provide sperm on the day you wish. Please let us know your desired date, taking into account your ovulation date.

How can I receive sperm donation?

There are two methods: AI(Artificial Insemination) and NI(Natural Insemination). Please let us know your preferred method. For more details, please see here.

Where can I receive sperm donation?

You can receive it in Tokyo. For AI, we will hand over the collected semen at a cafe or similar location. For NI, we will provide it at a hotel.

Who can I receive sperm donation from?

You will receive sperm from our donor, Masa.

How much does it cost?

The donation fee is 50,000 yen per time, and the transportation fee is 2,000 yen, for a total of 52,000 yen. Please note that for NI, there is an additional fee for the recipient’s sexually transmitted disease test and hotel costs.

What are the steps involved in receiving sperm donation?

Why did the donor start providing sperm?

He started after providing sperm to a foreign couple with male infertility who lived in Japan. He learned that foreign single women and same-sex couples living in Japan were unable to conceive due to the language barrier and lack of information, so he founded Samurai Donor.

Is the donor’s sperm safe?

es, it is safe. We conduct regular sexually transmitted disease tests to ensure safe sperm donation.

Is the donor’s sperm quality good?

Yes, it is good. 21 children have been born so far.

About the Japanese Medical System

Can foreign women living in Japan receive prenatal check-ups and give birth at Japanese hospitals?

Yes, they can. The Maternal and Child Health Law applies to all pregnant women in Japan, regardless of nationality or residency status. Therefore, foreign pregnant women can also obtain a maternity and child health handbook and receive prenatal check-ups, just like Japanese women.

How much does it cost for prenatal check-ups and childbirth at a Japanese hospital?

The cost varies depending on the medical institution, but like Japanese nationals, a portion of the cost may be covered by public funds. However, the details vary depending on your residency status and insurance, so it is advisable to check with your local government office for details.

If a child is born in Japan, what will be their nationality?

The child will have the same nationality as the recipient.

About the Donor’s Involvement with the Child

Do I need to report information about the child to the Samurai Donor after the child is born?

No, that is not necessary.

How will the donor interact with the child after birth?

The donor will not actively engage with the child. We will only arrange a meeting if the child expresses a desire to do so.
